[more + video] Mr Daimen Upton Performance Director Atlantic Whale Foundation [click for large image] Half-term holidays for most students may consist of a week’s lazing in the sun, maybe an active trip away with family or dusk-to-dawn computer games. For some, the May half-term means revision for upcoming exams. For fifteen year 12 students, this revision would take place in less usual climes. Over the course of seven days, accompanied by two teachers, these BTEC and A-Level Biology students became conservation workers, assisting volunteers for the Atlantic Whale Foundation in Tenerife. .... This year’s entries presented us with a diverse selection of images, and the challenging task of short listing three photographers in each category. 		Sports Day 2009 "What a day" This year, Walton High's Sports Day fell on what was clearly the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching a massive 30 degrees The winners of 2009 were Earth House with a massive 912 points. That’s 2 years on the trot now. A big congratulations goes out to Fire House who managed to get themselves out of that 'Wooden Spoon' position and into a very respectable 2nd place. I would like to thank the the Year 12 BTEC Sport students who helped make the morning run as smoothly as it did. We were lucky enough to have Liam, James and Noel who led both staff and students throughout the day. I don’t know where I would have been without them. fantastic team players they truly are.
