Post-16
Introduction from the Associate Principal
Walton High's Post-16 Centre, which opened in September 2007, is the base for approximately 400 sixth form students.
Our students come to study with us from Walton High and across Milton Keynes because of the broad and flexible curriculum offered and the high standard of teaching and learning that characterises Walton High.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection recognised the quality of our provision. The September 2008 report reads:
'The sixth form provides an outstanding education to a wide range of students. Students make outstanding progress in their studies and achieve standards that are significantly higher than average.'
We are confident that in addition to academic success we also provide a broad range of social, cultural, sporting and leadership opportunities to ensure our students leave us as positive and articulate young people ready to make a contribution to society in the future.
'Students are pleased to be in the sixth form at this school. They feel that the school enables them to develop leadership and decision-making skills and gives them wide-ranging experiences.' (Ofsted September 2008)
We welcome students who share our values and high expectations and look forward to working in partnership with you and your families next year.
Mrs C. Bowman
Associate Principal
