Congratulations to our Year 11 Students!

Year 11 students at Walton High are once again celebrating an excellent set of GCSE and vocational course results.

Year 11 had the unenviable task of being the first year group to sit externally assessed exams in all of their subjects since the end of the COVID pandemic. As a year group they met this challenge with outstanding fortitude, applying themselves to their studies and their exam preparation. It is this level of maturity and resilience that makes us delighted to celebrate their achievements today.

The majority of our students have chosen to return to our Post 16 provision and the exciting range of pathways and subjects on offer, many of which will be new to them.   We wish all our students the very best as they now look to the next steps and the opportunities that Post 16 study brings.  To those leaving us, we wish you every success.

Special congratulations to Aria Gharachorlou (Walnut Tree) for his eight Grade 9s, one Grade 7 and one Grade 5 results. Also, congratulations to Ibrahim Bilal (Brooklands) for his six Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and one Grade 7 results.

Other students achieving top grades are Annie Bott (seven Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and a double distinction); James Adi (five Grade 9s, two Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and a Grade 5); Edith Grindley (seven Grade 9s and three Grade 8s); Sachin Ganapathula (five Grade 9s and five Grade 8s); Izzy Palmer (five Grade 9s, three Grade 7s and two Grade 6s) and Dami Omomowo (three Grade 9s, six Grade 8s and one Grade 7).

Strong performances were maintained in English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Business Studies, Philosophy, Performing Arts, Sports Science and Spanish.

Michelle Currie, Executive Principal said: “Walton High is proud to be a school which provides diverse and highly personalised academic and vocational opportunities to students in order to facilitate their chosen pathways.  We are always delighted to celebrate the success of our students as it is a testament to their immense commitment, talent and resilience.  These results are testaments to the passion and dedication of the staff here at Walton High.  I would like to sincerely congratulate all students on their accomplishments.  Students, along with their parents and teachers, should feel delighted with their achievements and we wish each of them an exciting and rewarding future.”
