GCSE Success at Walton High
Year 11 students at Walton High are once again celebrating an impressive set of GCSE and vocational course results. We are always delighted to celebrate the success of our students as it is a demonstration of their immense commitment, talent and resilience.
Special congratulations to Ruth (9 grade 9s and 1 grade 8), Emily (8 grade 9s and 2 grade 7s), George (6 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 1 grade 6), Lloyd (5 grade 9s and 5 grade 8s), John (7 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s), Karar (7 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s), Shresta (3 grade 9s, 3 grades 8s and 3 grade 7s), and Tia (5 grade 8s and 5 grade 7s).
Many of our students have also shown an extraordinary work ethic, resilience and commitment to their personal development. They, and their families, should rightly be proud of their accomplishments. They include Sofia, Man Tik, Hsaan, Aleksandra, Eryn, Bridget, Bethel and Mia.
Students have particularly excelled in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, English Language, French, Geography, BTEC Health and Social Care, Mathematics, Physics and Spanish.
These academic achievements run alongside the many experiences that students have had in The Venue performing at showcases and in the musical Godspell; on the sports field winning the MK Athletic Fed Cup and the netball team qualifying for the regional competition; on trips and visits to a wide range of places across the UK and achieving Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards; embracing opportunities to get involved in writing competitions or the activities of Science club; and sharing their culture and personal experiences in our vibrant and enthusiastic annual Diversity Day celebrations.
Their final year at Walton High has seen significant changes as the school looks towards our future joining the 5 Dimensions Trust and reflects on our successful 25-year history supporting young people and families from across the Milton Keynes community. Our graduating students are glowing examples that at its core Walton High is a place for belonging, learning, and achieving.
We would like to sincerely congratulate all students on their accomplishments. The majority of our students have chosen to return to our Post 16 provision and the exciting range of pathways and subjects on offer, many of which will be new to them. We wish the very best to all students whether continuing at Walton High or new opportunities. Do remember that we are here to offer any information, advice or guidance that will help students find the correct next step in their journey.
Students, along with their parents and teachers, should feel delighted with their achievements and we wish each of them an exciting and rewarding future.
