M.C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth

M.C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth can be located in the Howrah district of Kolkata, which is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal.

MCKV was established in 1998 with 380 students and now there are 2900 students. Alongside this there are over 130 members of teaching staff. Having good hard working and dedicated teachers and students enable the school to go from strength to strength.

The school is just over ten years old and enjoys close links with the community. This is highlighted by the work that the school do with underprivileged people in the area who can use the facilities during the evening.

M.C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth is the brainchild of Mr. S.S. Kejriwal. He got the inspiration to start MCKV while worshipping the goddess of Learning-Goddess Saraswati on Basant Panchami Day in 1997. By establishing the school, he wanted to keep alive, forever, the memory of his grand father Late Sri Mirzamal Kejriwal and his father Late Sri Chaggan Lal Kejriwal and hence the name M.C.Kejriwal.

The foundation stone of the school was laid by Mr. S.S. Kejriwal on 15th June 1997.

Mr. S.S. Kejriwal is one of the most prominent entrepreneurs and philanthropists of Kolkata. He prides himself as a socially responsible corporate citizen. He has concentrated his zeal for social work and education. He whole-heartedly supports the hospital, setup by his father, Late Sri Chaggan Lal Kejriwal in Ramgarh, Rajasthan.

Mr. S.S. Kejriwal is actively involved in the management of a number of reputed educational institutions in Kolkata and Howrah.
