Year 9 MK Schools Netball Tournament Champions

Walnut Tree’s Year 9 Netball team proudly represented Walton High at the MK Schools Netball Tournament held at Hazeley.

The team were undefeated at the group stage, winning all five games. A very high scoring 12-0 win over St Paul’s in the first game set the standard that the girls managed to maintain throughout, beating Stantonbury 15-1, Hazeley 6-1, Lord Grey 7-2 and Milton Keynes Academy 8-1.

Team cohesion from the girls was outstanding. With many defensive turn overs they were able to switch the ball quickly and skilfully into attack with fantastic shooting averages from the shooters. The girls went on to face Shenley Brook End in the final. With a strong and focused finish, they claimed the win 8-3.
